Mel & Melissa Arant with family

I have always enjoyed being around the water.  There is just something special about it.  I remember going to the lake as a child.  As soon as the car stopped I would take off toward the water’s edge and wait for my father to catch up.  Many of my fondest childhood memories took place at the water’s edge.

As a teenager, I worked on a farm.  Those July days could seem so long in the fields.  One summer in particular, the weather was just so hot.  By the time we’d go up one row and down another we were parched.  In one of the fields, there was a small pond.  I can still remember how wonderful was the sight of the pond as we neared the end of a row.  It was so refreshing to immerse yourself at the water’s edge.

As an adult, I’ve continued to enjoy the water, even when I found myself in too deep.  We used to spend a considerable amount of time river rafting.  It was exhilarating to feel the cold water splash in your face as you raced down the river. Sometimes an unexpected rock or my own carelessness would cause me to fall out of the raft.  I would find myself struggling to get to the safety of the water’s edge.

For me, that’s what Waters Edge is…  excitement, family, nourishment and safety.  Life can be full of celebrations and tears.  Waters Edge offers you a family with which to celebrate or cry.  If you are looking for a place full of excitement where you can be nourished and feel safe come and visit us at Waters Edge.
